Note: This feature should only be used if you want to process multiple separate file root folder that are on different disks, or totally different locations on one disk.
First you need to edit the configuration file for the plugin. Here's how:
- Locate the plugin folder. This is where you unzipped the plugin download. The easiest way to get there is to use Lightroom's plugin manager:
- File > Plugin Manager…
- Select picasa2lightroom plugin on the left
- On the right, under Status, you can see the path, and open it in Finder or Explorer using the provided button
- Now you are in Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows) looking at the plugin folder
- Inside the plugin folder, locate the file "Configuration.lua"
- Open the file in a text editor
- Change this entry:
allowMultipleDirectorySelection=false
From "false" to "true"
- Save and close the file.
- Go back to Lightroom, hit "Done" to exit Plugin Manager
Now run the plugin and select each photo root individually:
- Run the plugin's "Picasa Data Import" as usual.
- When you are asked to Select Photo Folder, browse to the first photo root folder, and hit "Select Folder" button.
- A popup will ask you to select the next folder, or Cancel (note: the cancel button will be on the next screen)
- Say OK to the popup to select the next folder.
- In the next "Select Photo Folder", select the next photo root folder, and hit "Select Folder" button.
- Say OK to the popup to select the next folder or Cancel.
- In the next "Select Photo Folder" if you only have 2 folders to select, you are done, so you hit the "Cancel" button.
- or… if you have more folders to select, repeat above steps until you have selected all root folders, then hit "Cancel" on the next "Select Photo Folder" window.
- After you hit Cancel, the plugin will start processing all the folders you selected.
